What amazed me was that he then used the next song, a gospel, to ridicule Reagen, singing, "Let the light from your White House shine on me!" (Thus suggesting Reagen is Christ, an obviously ironic put-down.)

What? I heard him say "lighthouse" and didn't sense any ridicule or any implication that Reagan was Christ.

I was watching some fishing show on saturday night and the host did not once say "This Cast is for the Gipper!"

I hate all these liberal fishing shows!

OK, I heard it wrong. I can believe that fairly easily, since I did wonder how he was so ready to go with it. Criticism retracted. In that case, he did a fine job. (one or two others said I was hysterical; I don't think that was fair.)

But in honor of Chesterton, I still refuse to honor him by calling him GK. It's Garry from me.
