I suspect that is true. Though I think the Brits have a great deal of respect for her. I was on vacation in London 3 years ago. It was cheaper to buy a pass for the double decker tourist tour bus to get around than to take a cab or the underground. Riding around one day the tour guide on the bus was clearly not a fan of America through comments he was making. Lady Thatcher's apartment was a block from my hotel and as we approached the guide pointed to her window and with great pride and clear respect for The Iron Lady told us who lived there and that when she passes one of those plaques will be on that building.

For those that have never been to London, if a famous person ever lived somewhere in London, when they die a plaque is placed next to the window of the apartment they lived in saying who lived there, when, and what they did.
