You are right. According to protocol the President of the United States starts planning their own funeral. Someone mentioned that the Reagans started in 1981 (not sure about that) and have continually updated the formal plans throughout the years. And, rightly so that the Reagans should have the last word. I do think he would be touched by the outpouring of love for him and very humbled.
One can only imagine the tasteless spectacle planned by Clinton.
If they did start planning this in '81, what on earth would make the criminal or his insider's think the Reagan's would suddenly add him to the list after the disgrace of 92-2000 (and even after)! They are absolutely clueless, (shaking my head, really)...

Did you read the other article on Drudge (from a New York paper) that tells of him opening his eyes after 5 days, looking at Nancy before his last breath and she and his kids said he looked at her with clear eyes as if he recognized her? He was about to "go home". Seems likely to me.
