Fox just showed a live shot of a boy scout troop in full uniform saluting Reagan's coffin. What a visual moment.

And if the Dems demand equal time, not that they'll get it, might I suggest Sen. Miller?
To: lainie
Okay. I thought you were arguing in favor of You-Know-Who. My Bad, then, absolutely. Sorry. :)

"Clinton's inner circle is convinced Nancy Reagan has personally shut out Clinton from any high-profile participation." I expect Clinton (or Hillary!) to try to speak there anyway. Seriously. And if either of them or Carter get up to deliver a eulogy, she should stand up, put the back of her hand to her forehead, and faint, in her delicate, frail way. THAT would shut him up.
We can, of course, expect Bill to get hold of a main stream media camera outside the funeral, to criticize the others' eulogies after the funeral. Bet on it.

Did Ford and Carter speak in 1994, too?

"If it were up to me, I might let Clinton speak very briefly..." I'd let him set up and take down the chairs, and help with the cleanup.

Clinton suffers from Attention Whore Disorder
Note to Bill: STFU and pay your "tribute" in silence.

x42 "really held out all hope the funeral would be a nonpartisan event,..." Oh, yeah....right....the all-time leader of the world, who broke down communism, passes on, and x42 thinks it's going to be "NON-PARTISAN"....yeah right....he's just mad because a Republican is President right now, and he won't be able to upstage anyone.....not that he and his wifey won't try.

Yes, they did.
And told Cheney NOT to come.
I'm trying to be good today. Honest. Pray for me.

Carter is still hoping to find a legacy. He sure can't look on his Presidency as one.
Clinton could have built a legacy, he gave into this baser self and Monica defined his Presidency; impeachment sealed his legacy.
Now, the libs want to muddy Reagan's legacy. Because neither Clinton nor Carter have a shining legacy.

I cannot fathom why Clinton would make statements like this. Did he not know they would be made public?
Doubtful.
Could he be in stage one of torpedoing the Kerry campaign? Maybe but why offer himself up as schmuck.
Must be just a megalomaniac moment. It is all about him after all.

They should be allowed to speak. That would be up to Nancy.
If you recall, Clinton did a good and respectful job at Nixon's funeral.
No, I can't say I recall that.
To: lainie
Gee, maybe the Reagans didn't want a political funeral...just a decent one.
Shut up, Clinton.
