I also believe it. My Father-in-law also had alzheimers and just before he died knew where he was and who his wife was. Perfectly lucid.

Perhaps something in the brain changes just before death to allow the person to recognize their loved one just right before death?

The brain chemistry may change or something.

Either way, it is a blessing of God.
