Wow! My own Senator - what a grand idea!
I can just see the slap toward his ideological foes. Make big venue things $10 admission, $10 to park - and only give change in $10 bills. It'd drive them mad!!!
It would be a great honorific, but I doubt it's going to happen. The Dems are already trying to remove his name from Reagan National Airport. They'll put up a mighty fuss for sure.
I don't think Hamilton should be replaced; he's one of our Founding Fathers. I've always thought John Adams should be on currency: he's been ignored for 200+ years because he was a pain in the b*tt, but he deserves being recognized. How about Reagan on the penny? Lincoln is already on the five dollar bill.
I like this ... let the socialist FDR stay on the dime while RR is prominently displayed on ten spots.
Now is the time to press the issue. First and more importantly, it is more likely to happen now. Second, anyone opposing this sort of thing out of hatred of Reagan and America winning the cold war (democrats) will look really petty (as they are.)
Get rid of that socialist FDR and put Reagan on the dime as well.
Only if it's the picture of him grinning, wearing his cowboy hat:)!
What about Barney Frank on the new $3 bill?
No. It has to be the 20. As my brilliant friend pointed out, that would drive every leftist Berserk on payday, or whenever they hit the ATM.
BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely beautiful.
USA Today has a poll at http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2004-06-07-reagan-10-bill_x.htm asking who should be on the $10, Hamilton or Reagan?
Currently, Hamilton is ahead, 52% to 47%.
You know what to do...
I'm making this statement in general: The worst decisions are made during periods of emotion.
SO9
I can't wait to watch the lib boards melt down over this idea!
Some mentioned on the Mt.Rushmore thread that adding Reagan to the mountain would open it up to having a liberal Pres. added there as well.
Best to leave the Mountain alone.
He oughta replace Ulysses Grant on the $50. How this alcoholic loser got his face on currency is a mystery to me.
How about Reagan on the five dollar bill? Lincoln is already on the penny.
And the only thing the penny is good for is paying taxes. Hardly an appropriate honor for a man who cut taxes...
Not Klinton?
