ROME (AP) - Italian police have arrested a suspect in the March 11 train bombings in Madrid that killed 191 people, an Italian newspaper said Tuesday.
The man has been identified only as Mohamed the Egyptian according to the Milan daily Corriere della Sera. The newspaper said he had been under investigation for three months before police picked him up Monday night.
Police in Milan have not confirmed the report.
The March 11 bombs, planted on four commuter trains, also injured more than 2,000 people and have been blamed on Islamic militants with possible links to al-Qaida.
Twenty people, mostly Moroccans, have been charged in relation to the attacks, including six for mass murder.
"Mohammad the Egyptian" is about to enter a world of pain he never knew existed.
Perhaps a few will start packing.
