Testifying as the man accused of murdering your daughter looks on is something Teresa Vanderheiden doesn't wish on anybody.
"You try to keep your eyes focused on one thing," Vanderheiden said. "I remember looking at the clock a lot, thinking that would avoid it. But your eyes meet."
Anger flashed through Vanderheiden as -- in separate trials -- she came face to face with the men accused of murdering her 25-year-old daughter, Cyndi, in 1998.
"They're looking at you and as you look down and see them, you want to … " Vanderheiden, speaking from her Clements home, trailed off for a moment. "You just want to get rid of them."........

Martha Stewart was back in the legal spotlight last week — at another high-profile trial that has obsessed the media. As Scott Peterson went on trial for the murder of his pregnant wife Laci, the defense scored a surreal but key point by playing a videotape of the TV homemaker. Peterson had said that on the morning the prosecution says he killed Laci, she was watching Stewart talk about meringue. The Modesto, Calif., police department claimed no meringue was mentioned on Stewart's show that morning. But Peterson attorney Mark Geragos, in his opening statement, played the tape and showed otherwise.
That was just the first of many early embarrassments for the authorities. Geragos has displayed a talent for getting prosecution witnesses to point out inaccuracies in police reports. While prosecutors were trying to show that Laci was too tired to walk the family dog, as Peterson claims she was going to do the last time he saw her, they also inexplicably pointed out that she was able to go to a salon and a spa and buy about $100 worth of groceries that day. "It's a bit confusing what the prosecution is doing at this point," says former San Francisco district attorney Jim Hammer. ..........

Hubbby got a new (higher paying) job & I told him I was going to cut back and not work so darn hard. Our daughter is through college and, although she's in graduate school, she's able to support herself with the stipend. He replied, "You know, the Laci case will be over eventually and then you'll get bored." :-)

Ron Frey was obviously panicking thinking that Amber was being drawn into a murder that she had no part of. I can sort of understand his panic BUT I didn't think he should say anything AGAINST the Prosecution. IF Amber has bombshell evidence what is he so worried about? Besides, I think he will be quite surprised. The only think I Liked was him calling Geragos a LIAR in the media. Thankfully they printed something true.!!

Dev I think Laci was getting 1/3rd of that. But in any event it's big. I have a real feeling that Peterson MAy have given SOME of this jewelry to Amber.
IF he tries to implicate Laci's family he's an IDIOT!! That family is close and there is NO way that any of them would do in one of the others. I HOPE Geragos does take that attack, - ANOTHER THEORY!!

I thought I read --Please correct me if I'm wrong.
That Sharon Testified - Laci's share of the inheritance was closer to $700 Thousand in Value. $500(+++) in cash and over $100 Thousand in est. Jewelry. That the (lot) of the Jewelry was to be split between Laci and Amy (don't remember seeing Amy inclued in the cash inheritance) The cash lot to be split between Brent and Laci.
Think -If Laci and Conner died? Scott would inherit Laci and Conner's inheritance -almost $700 Thousand Dollars in Assets.
Think too of the Life Insurance Policy Scott took out on Laci and Conner, what was that $500 Thousand on each? What's that come to almost=1 Million 700 thousand?
Interesting also that there was no prenatal health policy taken out on Laci and Conner by Scott.
Saw in testimony that Laci would Jog with her valuable Jewelry on - Diamond ring, neclace, earings. Scott gave last description of her wearing some of those valuables. Yet, the ring she was wearing was found at the warehouse, her necklace at home, earings still missing.

Perhaps we'll see narcissistic rage. Sounds like Scott really reacted to the testimony today.
