Someone said last night that Dan Rather was tearing up talking about Pres. Reagan. I think it was more that he was in pain having to say something nice about the man instead of any real heartfelt emotion.

Dan's daughter is a fundraiser for the Texas Democrat Party, as I understand it, and there is no affinity between Rather and Reagan other than the fact that both their names start with an "R."

Someone said last night that Dan Rather was tearing up talking about Pres. Reagan Isn't there a limit on the number of times a news anchor can attempt to reenact the 1963 Cronkite moment? I think Rather has exceeded his allotment.
Save your crocodile tears Dan!

Nothing could drive the media further off the rails for longer than a move to put Reagan on Mt. Rushmore.
