NYC:

You seen large number of ads in your area of the subways?

What is your point? The president has NEVER in our history been elected by popular vote. He won the electoral vote per the process outlined by our Constitution.

The left has an entitlement mentality. They actually think they're entitled to an audience. It's some kind of right. If conservative radio succeeds then liberal radio has to also, otherwise it's discrimination.

Among the lefties I know that is exactly so.

How can you spend (lose) 40 millions of dollars in only two months - if you are NOT paying salaries to the staff and workers, and have only three of four radio markets?

For 10 million a month, you can falt out BUY 24 hours a day/7 days a week radio time in more markets than that! (Of course, the liberals already have 24 hours a day of ABBCNNBCBS news, so they don't need more in a market that their (illerate voters) listeners already ignore.)

Where did the money go?

Where did it come from?

Well, in the past couple of days, I've been in the A, F, 3 trains and have yet to see one of those posters.

Pres. Bush got more popular votes than Bill Clinton did in '92, so I guess Clinton was illegitmate too.

Their website is still touting '15 new stations coming in May.' Did their calendar get repossessed?

Last I heard it was $3.22 a minute and they give green stamps with that.

The point is simple to me - don't get cocky about the election. Bush didn't win the popular vote. Personally I believe the last couple weeks of negative ads by Gore and the NAACP (?) scared the foolish undecided into voting for Gore. I Think W will win but it would be nice to have the popular vote, which Clinton never got.

It will be that Rush had it killed because he feared the competition. Randi Rhodes conatantly said that she got higher ratings than Rush.

It is just another scheme by the Democrats to circumvent "campaign finance reform"

I think it's a wonderful use of the money. No one is listening who is not already committed and the money is not available for other effective advertising.

It has since received an infusion of cash, though it has not disclosed how much or from whom." Ladies and gentlemen, is it possible that this life-saving infusion of cash came from the Democratic Party?

That's the spirit Democrats! Keep pouring money into a failure of an idea! Keep it up!

The point, if you bother reading the posts, is that the vast majority of Americans cannot be said to be conservative based on the 2000 vote.

That's the problem--They need to have someone in charge--One person to make the hard choices. Like FOX NEWS. They need a Stalin to make it run.

Exactly. Liberalism is dead as a doornail in the United States. No wonder liberal talk radio is on the verge of closing it doors!

Liberal Conspiracy Alert.

Maybe my post is a little off subject, but I was browsing Amazon a short time ago. I had recently purchased "Warday" an old fiction work from the 80's about nuclear war and its aftermath. Amazon provided me with a "Recommendation" list of other books I might be interested in because of my purchase. All of the books were similar "end of the world" type titles of fiction except one!!

Stuck among the many titles recommended to me was Franken's latest book, "Lies and the Lying Liars...". I kid you not!!!

Liberals' problem they aren't honest and can't afford to be. If they owed up, the public would reject them faster than Le Pew the skunk. They've nominated a candidate who changes positions faster than most people change their underwear and who keeps denying he's a liberal. Their candidate lacks charisma and can't inspire people to follow him. Liberals have views that basically go against the grain of what people believe in this country so they have to lie about it. No wonder they can't go on Air America without being laughed off their air. There's no market for their product in this country and they won't fix their plight until they go out and learn from the American people why they're being rejected and what they have to do to make a comeback. Liberals' problem is they want power pronto and they have no patience to work the decades required to build a real grass-roots movement in this country. It goes beyond simple impatience and telling lies about who you are. For liberals, the real root of their problem is they are condescending and they talk down to people rather than LISTENING to what they have to say. Bottom line: they lost touch with the people of this country a long time ago and Air America's going out of business is just one sign of it.

I saw the Times Square subway station plastered with ads for Air America when I was in town between 5/25-6/2. I didn't notice Air America ads in other train stations, sorry.

Not to suggest this...but could it be that the management wasn't exactly left-leaning, and simply took the money and soaked up everyone as much as possible...to let this Titanic sink quickly under the waves? With the bucket of money they had, and this being an election year...these guys should have been in a much better position. Its almost like they wanted to fail or simply were too stupid to make a success out of it.

Even a liberal can't spin this graph showing this perspective.

Yes, they can. By spinning the graph upside-down, they can prove conclusively that airamerica's audience is off-the-chart (with a slight dip in April).
