And they have been quite successful. (Yeah, I disagree with their lifestyle, but that's not the point). Simply consider the following:
As a result of their 'in your face' behaviour, most companies have policies banning discrimination against gays. None have policies banning discrimination against gun owners. Quite the contrary, many companies ban guns from their property.
Same-sex relationships are taught as "acceptable" in public schools, whereas gun ownership is taught as "bad" in most schools.
Many gunowners have been harassed or even arrested for simply peaceably exercising their Rights, while I'm not aware of a single homo that has been arrested for the same thing.
Basically, gays and lesbians can do whatever they want nowadays. The state doesn't recognize their union, but neither is the state kicking down their door at o'dark thirty because they violated some obscure law. Meanwhile, gunowners are forced to jump through all kinds of hoops to simply be "allowed" to carry their gun in their car.
Welcome to America where the simple act of polite decency which say "be discrete and respectful of the sensitivities of those around you" has become synonymous with weakness
It has, in the eyes of the enemies of the Constitution. Being polite to a tyrant does nothing except to whet his appetite.
Personally, I don't give a rats behind what anyone thinks, especially when it comes to the exercise of my Rights. It me carrying a gun offends someone, that isn't my problem.
Not only must we hold our beliefs we MUST assert them in the face of everyone all the time. What rubbish.
Well, peaceably carrying a firearm in open view really isn't "in your face" anymore than openly carrying a Bible is. Both are simply exercises of our Rights that were secured by the blood of Patriots for 200 years.
