Hey Bootlicker, if brains were dynamite... you wouldn't have enough to blow your nose.

Nobody used to panik during hunting season where I was from with all the hunters running around armed to the hilt. Your paranoia not withstanding, why would anyone else react any differently?

Piss off...

You think those gangbangers are walking around unarmed now? What are you? Damaged or something? Only the law abiding follow the laws. Including those on firearms. The only thing your delusional hatered of guns is doing is keeping the public at a disadvantage to the criminals.

Patrons know what a "cops, and security guards", are, they don't know what to make of some civilian, in their midst, with an open, loaded, firearm

Cops and security guards are "civilians" also, unless you live in China.

Right, I'm delusional, your the one envisioning malls with people walking around openly armed. You are the ones who will fuel the total banning of guns with your idiot " I wish I was a gunslinger" illusions of grandeur.

This guy gets it. A few thousand Freepers "get it". A few hundred thousand NRA and GOA members "get it". The Founding Fathers of this nation "got it".

Why you seem to be stuck on the short bus is something you need to talk to your pharmacist about...

"I disagree. The more folks that carry guns openly, the more it becomes "acceptable" to the sheeple"
Interestingly the gay and lesbian community uses the same argument to win acceptance of their behavior too! Welcome to America where the simple act of polite decency which say "be discrete and respectful of the sensitivities of those around you" has become synonymous with weakness. Not only must we hold our beliefs we MUST assert them in the face of everyone all the time. What rubbish.

Interestingly the gay and lesbian community uses the same argument to win acceptance of their behavior too!

And they have been quite successful. (Yeah, I disagree with their lifestyle, but that's not the point). Simply consider the following:

As a result of their 'in your face' behaviour, most companies have policies banning discrimination against gays. None have policies banning discrimination against gun owners. Quite the contrary, many companies ban guns from their property.

Same-sex relationships are taught as "acceptable" in public schools, whereas gun ownership is taught as "bad" in most schools.

Many gunowners have been harassed or even arrested for simply peaceably exercising their Rights, while I'm not aware of a single homo that has been arrested for the same thing.

Basically, gays and lesbians can do whatever they want nowadays. The state doesn't recognize their union, but neither is the state kicking down their door at o'dark thirty because they violated some obscure law. Meanwhile, gunowners are forced to jump through all kinds of hoops to simply be "allowed" to carry their gun in their car.

Welcome to America where the simple act of polite decency which say "be discrete and respectful of the sensitivities of those around you" has become synonymous with weakness

It has, in the eyes of the enemies of the Constitution. Being polite to a tyrant does nothing except to whet his appetite.

Personally, I don't give a rats behind what anyone thinks, especially when it comes to the exercise of my Rights. It me carrying a gun offends someone, that isn't my problem.

Not only must we hold our beliefs we MUST assert them in the face of everyone all the time. What rubbish.

Well, peaceably carrying a firearm in open view really isn't "in your face" anymore than openly carrying a Bible is. Both are simply exercises of our Rights that were secured by the blood of Patriots for 200 years.

A few thousand Freepers "get it". A few hundred thousand NRA and GOA members "get it". The Founding Fathers of this nation "got it".

Not only that, but the state of Alaska just "got it" by recognizing the Right of Alaskans to carry either openly or concealed without any "permit".

Utah has a bill pending that will do the same.

"Vermont-style" carry is the next step, now that 35+ states have shall-issue CCW laws.

Some folks won't like, but "them liking it" really isn't a requirement.

Do you really think open carry as opposed to concealed is a better way?????

No, I can't say that I do but I would like to see firearms become a little more mainstream so people don't freak at the thought or sight of them.

It should be up to the individual. In the 1800's, carrying open was no big deal. Nothing has changed about a humans psychological makeup since then. We've been trained by fear mongers to wet ourselves any time someone is shown to be armed.

Bunch of castrati. Stand up for yourselves damnit.

Sorry, I just can't see a mall full of Twenty somethings, walking around with open loaded arms as a good thing, especially if they are wearing their head gear in the wrong position, I.E. gangbangers.

Thank G-d gangbangers aren't carrying openly. See, that is proof that they aren't carrying at all. Gang members never carry guns concealed, you know.

Let's try to stay on point, I'm all for everyone owning a gun, however I like most clear thinking Americans do not think It wise to allow open carry in populated areas. This is the reason most states do not even allow concealed weapons carry in "Public conveyances", "Sporting events, such as NASCAR, MLB, NFL...", "or other events where large congregations of people are gathered". In Florida, back in the 1980's the Legislation mistakenly wrote the law as to allow for open carry, on the news there were fools walking around with "Bandito" type crossover gun belts and dual .44 magnums on their hips. Needless to say there was a HUGE PUBLIC OUTCRY, as private businesses as well as almost all retail stores from malls to 7-11" posted hand written signs warning of "NO FIREARMS ALLOWED". This fact shoots down the contention that most retailers would support this "open carry" drivel.Marion Hammer was head of the NRA Florida chapter, at the time, and tried to defend open carry, as she was castigated in the media. So let's review, allow open carry, expect business owners who have to purchase liability insurance to simply ban ALL WEAPONS, from their establishments, since it is easier for the criminal element to disarm a person with open carry, than one carrying concealed {no brain-er}. The reason most states do not allow ANY weapons carry in populated areas, as it is a threat to those who may be innocent bystanders of a shooting {justified or not}. And the reason most states do not allow open carry unless by uniformed police/security , as to not alarm the general public, nor allow those who open carry to intimidate the public in general.

a rule most states impose on our RKBA rental agreement called a CHL includes blandishment which results in scaring silly assed sheeple.

I believe you are thinking of brandishing a weapon, i.e. to wave it around in a threatening or alarming fashion.

You can't brandish anything if it is in a holster on your belt, unless perhaps you pull up your shirt and show it off to somebody in a deliberately threatening manner.
