Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass: "On foreign policy he will be honored as the president who won the Cold War, and his 'Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall' will be linked forever with President Kennedy's 'Ich bin ein Berliner.' President Reagan and Nancy were always very gracious to the Kennedy family and they are both very much in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time."

For the U-Boat commander to issue such a statement........

The RATS and especially their bottom of the barrel scum at DU must be reeling.

It's easy to fool them, isn't it? All it takes is some boilerplate statement after somebody dies and can't oppose their insanity. Next thing you know the born again admirers here will be voting for the fat drunk!

I'm guessing Teddy had to be more than a little drunk to say this.

Speaking of drunk, who at Fox News let this little snippet from pinhead Danny Glover on the quotes page:

"We all know Reagan's legacy, from the Iran-Contra affair to the funding of the Nicaraguan military in which over 200,000 people died. The groundwork for the move steadily to the right happened with the Reagan administration. People want to elevate him to some mythic level; they have their own reason for doing that."

What a bitter jerk Glover turned out to be. Probably because he's not as successful as his Lethal Weapon co-star Mel Gibson.

Maybe Ted has been reading our comments, and wants to turn over a new leaf...No, that can't be.

If Uncle Ted announces he's become a conservative, then I'll fall out of my chair! LOL

He screwed up.
Most statements coming from the Left (Clinton and Kerry) made no mention at all on any of his achievements, nor did they reflect anything at all on the man - they made reference to him as a politician. Big difference, and so obviously screwed up by Kennedy and Daschle.

Famous words Reagan will forever be remembered for...'Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall'

Famous words Clinton will forever be remembered for... "I did not have sex with that woman Ms Lewinsky"

Perfectly stated! And President Reagan would never even take off his jacket in the Oval Office, out of respect for the Office of the President of the United States.

Amazing. The only explanation I have for this is that perhaps Teddy thinks his time is near, and hopes his own end will be noted with half the love and praise Reagan has earned.

What's even more pleasantly shocking are the statements from Daschle and Pelosi.

Its pain the Left to acknowledge they have no one with Reagan's stature. Zip, zero, zilch, nada. They know how much affection the American people have for the late President that they've been left speechless. What more can they really say? We're living in a different time, thanks in no small part due to the foundations laid by our 40th President. If it weren't for him, one can say with all modesty FR would not exist today and we wouldn't be posting tributes on here. One made can make a difference in the life of a nation and President Reagan was just such a man. Even Uncle Ted knows it.

Yeah, the left always wants to talk about Iran-Contra being a big scandal, I always thought it was brilliant.

I have thought about that a lot today. When the swimmer goes and when Klintoon goes, how will we react?

It should be apples and oranges. Kenedy climbed over a swollen corpse to spend his life making professional victims of his "constituents." Clinton made a mockery of the Presidency and cared even less about his supporters.

The biggest deal is that Reagan was loved by his detractors. Because they could see, even through their cynicism, that he was a man of great vision who loved the USA and had such optimism for America (in other words, a conservative).

I can;t see those things in these extreme Leftists who have hurt so many of "their people" and all of America.

I must think on these things.

Its all they talked about. But now it looks like small potatoes next to the list of Reagan's impressive achievements. Democrats aren't exactly going to be popular speaking ill of the revered dead even if their wackos go off the deep end of the reservation. God Bless President Reagan and God Bless America.
