Thank you for the ping. This is a wonderful trip down memory lane.
The best we can do for his memory and legacy is to keep up the good fight.

Great pic...I just remember all the things that were said about Ronald Reagan are being said about G.W.B. now...I know, because I was one of the unfortunate fools who didn't realize what a great guy he was until he wasn't in office anymore.
Reagan was once a Democrat too...but we both changed our ways.

Interesting that RR has now become one of those 1100 WWII veterans who die every day, and he has died on the weekend of this anniversary of D-Day.

He will be sorely missed. Thank God we had him for as long as we did.

This is so poignant, looking at these pictures and remembering when it was morning again in America.
Thanks for this thread.

For some reason, seeing a picture President Reagan usually brings a smile to my face.
Even though his death saddens me greatly, I still found myself grinning when looking at these pictures. I'd quit grinning and then a few minutes later find myself grinning again.
I suspect it has something to do with me remembering what an absolutely wonderful sense of humor he possessed.
I have been around since early Eisenhower years, and today marks the passing of certainly the greatest president in my time, and probably the greatest one I will have the pleasure of knowing.
