Mourning
in
America
The Free Republic Network has created a website where you can find a Reagan vigil in your area. The site is new so if you don't see one near you, put some friends together, pick a location and list it there. Thank you.
The address for the website is www.reaganvigil.com, but it won't be active until tomorrow. Until then use the "click" button above.
Thank you to diotima at the Network for putting this website together so quickly.
Bumpety Bump!
Nope. Can't claim it. Believe it or not, it's from MSNBC's front page. But thanks, anyhow!

This is a MEDIA Information release for memorial activities:
(Partial quote)The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, located at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, California will be CLOSED FOR PARKING from Saturday, June 5th until Sunday, June 13th. ALL MEDIA MUST GO TO CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY (CLU) located at 60 West Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks, California
They give a link to a map in this press release.
Not a lot more information, such as dates, times, etc., but if they're imposing this parking restriction on the press (who usually hang out right at the site of whatever is going on), they may also request the public to follow this.
Also, just got off the phone with Simi Valley Police Dept. (information # (805) 583 - 6100, regular # (805) 583 - 6950). They said there may be a shuttle service being run from Moorpark College on Sunday, but they were not certain about that. They said to keep trying the link I posted above to the Reagan Library Funeral information.
Finally, Simi Valley Bus Service to the Presidential Library normally does not run on Saturday or Sunday. You can find the schedule at this link (it's a PDF file):
http://www.ci.simi-valley.ca.us/Bus_Schedule_A-D__5-03__-_Complete.pdf
so you could find a place to park in Simi, if you're going on Monday, and the parking restrictions are still bad at the Library.
That's about all the information I've been able to dig up. Sorry it's not more informative.
DON'T LET THE LIBERALS CONVINCE AMERICA THAT THE BERLIN WALL FELL DUE TO A MASONRY PROBLEM!!!!!!
Organize a vigil in your city/town!
Until www.reaganvigil.com goes live late tonight or early tomorrow, here is a link to the website to organize candlelight vigils in hometowns across America and internationally.

We put it together in a hurry, so please forgive its lack of slick appeal, but it should get the job done.
Send it out to everyone you know, every list you've got so that folks can get together and start organizing vigils!
And if you are in Washington DC Sunday night (6/5), come by Lafayette Park across the street from the White House at 6 PM.
Let's get this together for the Gipper!
KRD
I am happy to co-ordinate with all interested parties. Please freepmail me for directions, or any other info. The forecast is for rain.
Massachusetts actually has 3 vigils set up at the time of this post. I'm astonished. Maybe even The Bay State aka The Gay State is finally starting to see the light.
Mr. Gadfly
Understand that you might be met by communist counterdemonstrators. If they do confront you, will you stand your ground? Or will you yield, and cede the field of battle to them?
I hope you will stand firm and NOT back down!
There might be imposters doing this. Please be careful!
Your warning is taken. Thanks.
Thank you for honoring President Reagan & all the best.
It is "Mrs. Gadfly" actually and believe me when I say that there is not a chance that I will back down. Let them show their hate. I will be there to pray for and pay tribute to President Reagan and his family.
Bring. It. On.
Oops! I apologize!
Bring. It. On.
Excellent! For as Rosa Luxembourg said, "the most revolutionary act is always to speak the truth out loud"
I just found the thread. Thanks for gathering the information together. I'll see you there.
This is also a great place to post vigils.
Laughter through tears...
Thanks!
someone keep me informed. Since the school year is out, I will be more likely to be able to come. i think this will be a good thing for my daughter to participate in.

One for the Gipper :
..
Anybody going to fly to DC to view him in the Capitol?
I wish I had the dough to plop down and I would get a plane ticket, that's for sure.
I hope there will be many, many local rememberences.
I have been rather amazed at the fairly nice coverage the media has been giving him (for the most part). Dan Rather even did his little tear up deal at the end of the broadcast. Many say they are fake. I don't believe so. I believe he is being genuine in such moments. He may be a liberal, but there are times when it seems he can get past politics and just be an American. Of course, that is short-lived.
Anyway....thank God that Ronnie is now out of his misery and home now. Prayers for Nancy....
They showed video on the news of local sports bars etc. showing Fox News Channel coverage of this instead of sports. People were in shock; some were just sitting there stunned. This definitely will be a tough couple of days...
It is IMPERATIVE that we do not allow the mainstream media to soil Reagan's legacy. A good way to counter that is to hit the the streets and show the public the REAL AMERICA.
