I just finished watching Bob Sellers and Kiran Chetry on FNC doing live coverage. I thought they were very respectful of former President Reagan. Nicely done!

When the caravan left the Reagan house, several of the long time LA TV announcers were visibly shaken...

We haven't had a state funeral in over thirty years, I think the country will be glued to the television, and it isnt going to do Kerry any good.

It took me a bit to find it...its off an eBay sale so probably won't last forever. It was an official campaign poster.

Forgive me, but GOOD! let the public remember on whose side Meeeester Kerry was standing. He was shoulder to shoulder with the USSR. There is even a picture image here on FR of Kerry's PUBLIC statement of opposition to Ronald Reagan's defense policies based on kerry saying the USSR was no threat.(really)

On 8 February 1984, New Jersey fired almost 300 shells at Druze and Syrian positions in the Bekka Valley east of Beirut. Some 30 of these massive projectiles rained down on a Syrian command post, killing the general commanding Syrian forces in Lebanon and several other senior officers. This was the heaviest shore bombardment since the Korean War.

I was watching the re-runs of his speeches on FOX and C-SPAN and I had forgotten how optimistic he made one feel when he spoke. He was a real President. One of the greatest. I hope they keep re-running his speeches because there are a lot of people who didn’t get hear him. Maybe it will change a lot of people’s minds and bring out the best in America.

1:35 p.m. local, Sunday

I am in India and just pulled up the internet and learned of this for the first time. Sad. Very sad. To be overseas at the same time makes you feel even sadder. Goodbye Mr. President.

God Bless President Reagan, the greatest president of my lifetime, and one of the greatest this nation has ever had. You fought your battles and fought them well. Rest easy, sir, you have earned it.

I made the mistake of going over to DU. I was shocked by what I saw over there, though I know I have to consider the source.

" Well, I'm doing my part to make up for my error. I'm raising four conservative children. So far, so good...the 11, 14 and 17 year olds are conservatives and understand what that means. Just a seven year old left to go... "

You can only do your best .... the rest is up to them at some point . Good Luck !!
