ABC just announced :( Ronald Reagan was 93
I have been flipping channels, FNC has the best coverage. CNN looks like stitched canned clips.
Just telling stories of personal dealings with Reagan in their own words makes the loss so much more poinient.
Look at the crowd near the funeral home on FNC.....wow.
He made me proud of my country for a lifetime.
This is a real legacy.
Godspeed Mr President
Is there a way to get FNC on the net? I no longer have sattelite service so I don't get squat on my TV.
One of my favorite memories of Ronald Reagan was the televised Mondale-Reagan debate. My sisters and I were laughing uncontrollably at Mondale and clapping and cheering President Reagan. What a wonderful president he was. What a wonderful MAN he was.
My other favorite ?
"The problem with our liberal friends is not that they know so much, but that they know so much that isn't so"
That's great -- and so very true!
2004 election is starting to leak in. Bush called a Reaganite...
Torch passed, Could 2004 now be a referendum on Ronald Reagan's legacy?

They never even broke away from Smarty Jones to make the announcement.
Pathetic and sick.
The whole street is packed with people! Wow is right.
Condolences on the loss of your father. My own dad died of alzheimer's disease 20 years ago. (It doesn't seem that long ago.)
If a fully alert Ronald Reagan had still been available to us, I'm sure his message to us would be to win yet another one for the Gipper. He was one of the greats, that's for sure.
Goodbye, Mr. President.
May you have fair winds and following seas.
Great thoughts!
I thought I might relate a short version of what Reagan did for me.
After I got out of the Army in 1972, I was demoralized, emotionally damaged and depressed. This condition which should have gotten better, never really did, ending in a divorce after six years and many different jobs and addresses.
When Reagan took office, I felt that he nor anyone else could somehow repair this damage, but I had no idea what had caused it? Why was was I all F'd up?
To make a long story short, when Reagan sent our guys to that little puke island and rescued those students with a quick decisive blow to the enemy with so much class, it lifted me up like nothing else could. I felt like my despair was gone, my moral repaired and my manhood rekindled.
I was whole again!
I discovered that it was the defeat in Nam and the lousy moral that ensued that directly caused my grief and lack of purpose and depression.
Reagan repaired that damage for me and many other vets. I will love him and honor him until I breath my last. As I watched his hearse leave the Reagan home a few minutes ago, I saluted him. Something I have not done since 1972. I will be doing much more saluting in the coming days as I ponder the great things that this man has accomplished for this country.
Warms my heart that people care...
I am sorry about the loss of your dad. after 10+ years there is still the void / pain in my soul for my dad.
And RR was a dad, leader, hope for so many of us... God bless you brother..
Reporting over 5,000 have now assembled in that area.....
I thought it was one of the most beautiful quotes I have ever read...
I didn't mean to make you cry even more!

A great President, to always be cherished and appreciated and to never be forgotten. For just being a son of the greatest nation in the history of the world. Your legacy lives on, President Reagan.
Amen.
