Actually, he's a one-year-old purebred Maine Coon that we got as a rescue last month. We had to have him shaved, he was neglected in his previous home and his fur was totally matted, and he was badly underweight.

But yes, he's a fighter...when the time comes for playfights, he holds his own against our other Viking Kitty, Livingston, who's half again his size.

And after Beauregard gets finished kicking the troll's ass, Livingston will fall down on the bloodied remains!

She has the fur and look of my beloved departed kitty that was small but had a big "ruff" like a maine coon and the white slippers of the stray that arrived at the door starving,infested with worms about 8 weeks ago....she is now queen of the castle and ready to defend all of it.

That's a gorgeous, obviously well-cared-for furbaby (in Post 62). Beauregard looks like he was bred for power and speed, if not necessarily beauty. (It takes all kinds though).

We're catless because a) we have a waterbed and b) my wife's allergic to 'em.
