Typical AP story, with a totally unnecessary, irrelevant mention of embryonic stem cell research (without, of course, noting that there are stem cells from other than unborn children). I'm sorry Nancy has gotten on that bandwagon.

My father died of Alzheimers (I know, I know - no one dies from Alzheimers, technically, so I'll say he died of pneumonia he wouldn't have had but for the Alzheimers). In his case, it was obvious when the end was near, as I suspect it is with President Reagan. Although we will miss his humor, his noble character, there's some comfort in knowing that he soon will be released from the awful prison this disease has made of his mind and body.

My father had Alzheimer's as well and died of pneumonia. The picture of Nancy and President Reagan reminds me of visits to the nursing home where my mother would feed him desert and kiss him. Now my mother has it.
