They asked about getting lost in a book, but not about watching the web for many hours.
I find personally that since finding the web, I am far less likely to read a book and far more likely to read the same sorts of information online.
The internet really is in someways the logical existention of a personal library. And unlike a realitively static library, one can get the most up to date information on any topic imaginable.
