I've never heard that but things happen I guess. Most of the books is the same stuff my mother used to tell me. Don't call guys up, don't pay for dinner, and don't take gifts from men,etc.
I guess the idea of being a bit modest is okay. The thing about calling the guy up post-date; well, I suppose that hold's true for some men who might think that the woman is emotionally needy.
For the most part, I don't subscribe to all of these hard and fast rules, which dictate how you should go about courting someone. While I agree with most of the posters in one respect-treating a woman with the kindness and maturity that she deserves-a lot of the other stuff kind of strikes me as belonging to a bygone era.
Sorry, that's just the way I feel.
