Two Businessmen Indicted For Allegedly Selling Military Gear To China

LOS ANGELES -- Two Silicon Valley, Calif., businessmen are due in federal court next week after being indicted on charges they shipped military cameras to China.

Philip Cheng of Cupertino, and Martin Shih of San Jose, were indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on nine counts of violating export laws and money laundering.

The indictments come after the men were arrested last month for allegedly shipping night vision cameras to an organization linked to the Chinese military.

Shih is president of San Jose-based Night Vision Technology. He allegedly brokered the deals.

Cheng allegedly laundered money through wire transfers between Hong Kong and a bank account in Cupertino.

Both men are free on bail and are due to be arraigned Wednesday before a federal magistrate in San Jose.

If convicted, Cheng and Shih are facing at least 45 years in prison.

If this happened during the CLINTON years ...believe it that there would not have been any Indictment in this ChinaGate-type case.

No Clinton just sold the technology to make their nuclear warheads much more accurate. I am sure this camera was much more sensitive then nuclear missile technology....

"Philip Cheng of Cupertino, and Martin Shih "

Not your typical redneck American names. When conflict comes with China we will take a hit from the sleepers.

It used to be that Cupertino was where one might find hard core anti Communist pro Taiwan independence types. That was about 15 years ago. Now it has been taken over by Chi Coms and bootlickers thereof. This case does not surprise me.
