The Pope can't even turn the pages. He has an aide do it. Parkinsons is really taken a toll on him.
I've said it before, and I'll say it as long as I have to: In '94, he had a stroke as he was getting into the shower, causing him to fall and break his hip. I'm not totally discounting Parkinson's, but really, he should have resigned as soon as he had the stroke. I do love the man and am as defensive of his great accomplishments as the next guy, but I really am not sure if he's aware of how off-the-cliff his bishops have gone on this side of the pond. They are, to a large extent, the reason the 'ideals' behind Vatican II have been distorted and the Mass has been turned into Romper Room in many parishes.
But still, 'Viva il Papa'!!!
