Chirac Frets That Kerry Is a Toasted Baguette (Good News)
NewsMax ^ | Thursday June 3, 2004

Chief French quisling Jacques Chirac and fellow Saddamite weasel Gerhard Schroeder of Germany are in a dither that President Bush will defeat Sen. John Kerry in November.

The Wall Street Journal's James Taranto today noted several signs of the president's strength. Among them:

A Rasmussen poll shows that 54 percent of voters would consider voting for Bush, compared to 49 percent for Kerry.

The Iowa Electronic Markets is trading futures on the election. "As of yesterday's close, a contract paying $1 in the event of a Republican victory was selling for 55.4 cents." A Democrat contract was cheap: 44.9 cents.

Best of all ... "If the New York Times is to be believed, the Bush-loathing leaders of France and Germany seem to be banking on Bush: 'Officials in both countries say that their leaders have come to conclude that Senator John Kerry's campaign to defeat Mr. Bush has not caught fire and that they may have to coexist with Mr. Bush for another four years,' the paper reported Monday from Paris.

These people need to stop jinxing things.

It's great and all be we don't need any "locker room" ammo for the Dems.

I really do think that an unprecidented number of people are going to vote in November. Enough so it'll startle everyone. I think most Americans are getting tired of being told by europeans who they should vote for.

Both the frog and the german red may not have to coexist for 4 more years, they may both be defeated before President Bush's second term ends.

You have to take good news where you can find it. There has been so much bad news lately, that I welcome all positive news about President Bush. If we don't project a positive attitude about our country and where it is going, we won't win.

True. But I'll tell you what... Sometimes when I feel that the entire world hates Bush I step back and realize that its just the political junkies online. Most people are just going about their lives and aren't really paying too much attention.

I haven't found it online but there was a Harris poll that came out yesterday in the numbers were not what I expected. It said the the majority of the country (by a lot) felt they were better off than they were 5 years ago and they feel that they'll be better off even more in 5 years.

It's not as gloomy as the media (if you read it constantly like we do) tries to make it out to be. The American Spirit is still going strong. At that's bad news for Kerry. It means people aren't buying into his gloom and doom campaign.

Any chance of HRC being unexpectedly crowned this summer in Boston?

I would've never even considered it in the past, but after the NJ Lautenberg switcheroo, it seems very plausible.

Nothing is beneath the damn liberals in this country.

I usually expect the Rat to be on top, when I see poll numbers that total over 100%.

"Locker room"?? Naah...

It's more like the Ladies Room.

And anyway, kick 'em while they're down I say.

I'm not one of the tin-foil-hat crowd, but I think this is definitely possible. If Kerry looks like he could win, she has to do it. Otherwise, her Presidential aspirations are gone.

It depends on the media. If they want her for 2008, they will start to torpedo Kerry in 2004. If they continue to promote Kerry, she will step in.

I'm sure the chief maggots at the DNC are in their war room with a Plan B that includes the accension of HRC.

I can't picture a scenario where the Clintons don't have their paws in the process. It's too unrealistic.

President Bush would still kick her fat butt on election day.

That is not bad. If a poll adds up to 103%....
