To: Proverbs 3-5
Thanks for the explanation of the difference between the movies.

I think the Harry Potter series is junk-food trash for kids as so much garbage is on TV. But I didn't see the difference in the way magic is portrayed in Potter vs. LOTR.

I loved LOTR.

Yes, LOTR is better because there aren't any icky girls. Book one is among the few stories I've ever read where not one character has a father, mother, brother, sister, wife or husband. Real adult stuff.

Why would you compare it to the things on TV? The Harry Potter series (the books) have brought hundreds of kids into the world of reading, where before the HP books came out they detested it. I know I'm thankful a book series has emerged that will encourage children to read instead of watch Jimmy Neutron and such.
