To: New Perspective

Don't be too quick or presumptive to think this is obvious. IT IS NOT. Especially in the black community.
It is not unusual at all for 90% of our black brothers and sisters to go to church, sing, clap, shout and praise The Lord and then on the following Tuesday, walk into a voting booth and vote for a party and/or candidate who supports killing little babies and homosexual marriages. Why? Because they've been lied to by the Dim-o-rats for years who, as MLK Jr. said: "They promise us everything and give us nothing." Yet they still vote straight party ticket. It's sad when we choose money (government money) over morality. And, there are many white folks with the same mentality; I was "Born a Democrat and I'll die a Democrat".
The sooner they do the latter, the better this nation will be. And no, I do not apologize for this statement.

I had a friend who was black and almost as conservative as me. We agreed on almost every major issue, from gun control to taxes to welfare to the size of government. He even supported restrictions on abortion to some extent. He also went to church every Sunday and then proudly pulled the lever for democRATs every election.

That exception is brought up in the article:

There are exceptions to the pattern. African-Americans who often attend church are as reliably Democratic as those who don't.

I don't get it.
