.....It is unabashedly one-sided. Moore's narrative is sarcastic and ironic. There are no images or interviews defending the administration or the war. There is no father, proud of the soldier child who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq, to counterbalance the grieving Flint, Mich., mother shown by Moore who struggles to fathom why her son had to die in this war.
It's an approach that drew Tim Cuddeback from his Port Byron home Friday to picket the film at the mall's Hiawatha Boulevard entrance. American flag in one hand, umbrella in the other, he smiled and gestured to passing motorists who honked in approval of the sandwich board he wore.
"Hezbollah (heart) U 2 Mr. Moore" read the front of the sign. "Vote for Nader (sarcasm)" read the rear. He called Moore a "narcissistic propagandist" who should be charged with sedition and treason for aiding the enemy at wartime.
Cuddeback said he and other members of Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood began picketing on Thursday "to let people know that the traitorous film has opened. Since the press won't report it, we're out here to let the people know who part of the Fifth Column is."
If he had Moore's camera, Cuddeback said, he'd show the military at its best and "the mainstream rallies that never get shown on television." He'd also show the other side, he added. "I would show Mr. Kerry, that he opposed the Vietnam War and sold his fellow veterans out."
Cuddeback had not seen Moore's film. "I don't need to step in dog crap to know it smells," he said.

Here's my suggestion though: Photocopy a ton of the Hitchens review (or any other truth-minded article; there have been a number posted here at FR) and hand them out at the theater to the people waiting in line at the box office. Ask people politely if they'd like to hear a critique from a former Trotskyite who thinks Moore is "sophomoric" and "one of the great, sagging blimps of our sorry, mediocre, celeb-rotten culture".
I was FReeping F-9/11 today here in beautiful Orange Park, Florida, and one idiot passed by and asked if I had seen the movie. I borrowed your line and told him I didn't need to see it, because "I don't have to step in dog sh*t to know it stinks!". That is a GREAT LINE!
Yesterday a woman passed by and and said "A vote for Bush is a vote for blood". I yelled back, "Yeah, Terrorist blood! I wanna spill all of it!"

Tim--I saw it in the paper today, excellent...drats my job! I salute you...I made it out for 2 hrs. tonite, lots of the same...lots of thanks, some FUs, and one "Bush is the enemy" holler...Amazingly, I could almost pick out the Moore fans in traffic...grungy, young/old hippy looking malcontents. I will be out Sunday from around 12noon to 4ish...I hope we get some more out. Thanks for all you did, you done good.

I don't think Moore would care. I think, at this point, he'll be giving away DVD's along with a voter registration card by September.
I like the challenge to others.
To all of you who have never "FReeped" before, I guaruntee you will get so charged up from FReepin', that you will have a hard time to sleep that night regardless of how tired you are! The faces of grateful patriots are the second best payment you could get. By FReepin', you wake up something inside of them. They get encouraged to speak out and they walk with more spring in their step. They are PROUD to be an American who just gave you the thumbs up or tooted their horn showing their support for the country at a time when some real IDIOTS are racing to give their money and support to an America HATER.
But the best payment is when you see these IDIOTS who HATE America, and you see the anger and fear in their face because they know YOU aren't gonna stand idly by, while they trash the country! They are the best to see, all twisted and contorted and YOU stand there and wave and give them a BIG SMILE. You have just RUINED their day, and they will no doubt tell their fellow liberals how YOU were there.
I highly encourage ALL FReepers to abandon the idea that FReepin' will only bring more people to the theaters, they are already coming. What they need to see is that we won't roll over! Get some foam poster board (so they will be firm and easy to read), a black and red marker and make your sign simple and BIG letters. Tell them Fahrenheit 9/11 is PROPAGANDA, That Hezbollah supports the movie, That we should support OUR TROOPS and NOT terrorists! Whatever you write, hold your sign PROUD and SMILE - the spirit of America is watching you!

I am amazed that there are not tons of freep events going on this weekend...our domestic enemy is exposing itself this weekend. Here in Syracuse, the "Peace" Council used the film as a fundraiser and had 500 people present...It was a mini-Woodstock, I was told. I was at work so I could not freep there, but the other person who was to be there opted out for fear of attack. 15 freepers at that theatre would have been awesome.

Kudsman and I just spent 4 hrs at the mall, lots of honks and thumbs ups...and some treasonous leftists. I was interviewed by Ch 5 and just as we wrapped, an aging hippie woman came running up, crying that Moore didn't lie, etc. She called the troops "baby killers" on camera. Needless to say, it was a very heated display and I gave her a sound spanking. I told her Vietnam was over, this was not Nam, and that there would be no more spitting on our brave troops... She also refused to look at the anti-Moore flyer that dissected his film, proving his lies...Then she ran away.
