There's really no need to change my mind! I am a conservative (with some libertarian thrown in). I will never vote for Kerry or any Dem. However, I will still argue against any increase in federal funding that does not include defense. If what you say is true, and in the long run there will be the reductions that we all hope for, then I'll be one happy camper.
And I'll eat my crow. :)
I hope you're right. I'm just not convinced yet on issues like Medicaid and (gasp!) AIDS relief for Africa. My vote is faily secure for the coming election, but I'll always be the loud guy in the back trying to keep the GOP in line.
Maybe I just carve the attention...
