I believe in a Constitutional Republic, in limited government, and in my right to speak my mind on anything at all. I dont conflate the country I love with any particular administration or set of leaders. I reserve the right to disagree with their decisions. And Political Correctness is abhorrent to me whether leftist nannies or rightist ninnies impose it.All, I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY! Peace and love, George.

Guys, Ah-YUP. Peace and love, George.
I agree also. The "conform or die" attitude is pushing me away from the GOP. I get sick when I hear people say "If you don't support Bush, the terrorists win!...or..."How dare you criticize the President...We're at war!" Taking this attitude to its logical conclusion would be to ban free speech. Honest people can come to different conclusions about the necessity of the Iraq war, and those who call people "traitors" for disagreeing with the official neocon policy are doing a disservice to the republican party.
We are at war with people who want to kill us and destroy out way of life. It is not that difficult to understand...
We are at war...I am sick of this kind of talk from so called "conservatives".We are at war...
You guys kill me. You equate criticizing what you say with taking away your freedom of speech...
"An Obedient Dhimmi Is a Happy Dhimmi! Vote Kerry In '04! Allah Akbar -- !"
I notice your capacity to post has not been curtailed...You are free to speak and I am free to disagree.
Whew, the above is an utter lie.
Oh well what this type of drivel from a writier who IMO probably thinks that Israel is a greater threat to the world, than the islamofascists.
Oh well I expect this type of drivel from a writer who IMO probably thinks that Israel is a greater threat to the world, than the islamofascists
I gotta say George, I agree with this. It worked in Japan...
But to be fair, FR has had very little patience with certain people lately, while giving others, who actually favor an expansion of government, free reign. I have a problem with that, but it's not my site.
Interesting.
I agree with the war. Agree with the action. There are, however, many conservatives that disagree. It's a free country. What drives me crazy is when I attack the current congress and administration for the recent upswing in (non defense) spending, other 'conservatives' get angry at me.
That isn't healthy. If you want a group or ideology without contrarian or differing opinions, join the DNC. They're the zombies without real internal debate. Differing opinions are healthy, and I'm glad the GOP has within it libertarians, conservatives, paleo-conservatives, objectivists, etc.
As for the war, as long as you don't use the typical liberal attacks against it, I'll gladly speak with a conservative on the issue. I believed in it enough to take part in the war. I still do, and I still am.
Usually, when I see a conservative make attacks upon the war, it is intellectually leaps and bounds above the liberal mantra. As long as not once, not once, is an attack made upon the motivations or operations of the individual American soldier, we can discuss.
Oh yeah. And as long as you recognize that John Kerry would be a far worse option than any man in the GOP to lead this effort.
I guess they haven't noticed the left comparing Bush to the Taliban and Hitler....
I honestly can't think of a better solution than the destruction of the axis of evil.
That's actually happened to me on this forum. Got the t shirt.
CR, I wouldn't vote for Kerry if I was paid WELL! And, I could damn sure use the money. And, I firmly believe Ron holds the same sentiment. Except for "needing the money". Peace and love, George.
Send your complaints to the owner....
I am sick of word games about neo cons, paleocons, libertarians, conservatives, RINOs, true conservatives, real conservatives...I want we AMERICANS to get together and pull together for the sake of our nation. We are at war.
