LIberation Theology is alive and well in the Archdiocese in which I reside.
My Archbishop was arrested in Guatemala and Ecuador for fomenting revolution more than a few years ago, but the ideology is alive and well around here.
Social Justice is also alive and well in my diocese, and I live in the Arlington Diocese. Read the Arlington Catholic Herald, the English section is totally different from the Spanish Section. Two very different outlooks.
Catholics for Marx could easily be renamed as Jesuits for Marx, where the end justifies the means. One of the reasons I refused to send my son to any Jesuit run high school. A priest of another order once confided to me that his order would not pray for the Jesuits. I'm not catholic, so I used to chuckle at the infighting...now I'm convinced it has some merits.
