Flying is gross for many reasons, and that's a big one.

Not everyone is willing to fly leather-armored mini skirts with low-cut-cleavage-enhancing armor bustier. :-)

BTW: I assume you are not allowed to "carry on" your sword but what about your Chakram?

My display chakram is blunt, so that's all good - but all my swords, although meant for stage combat, are indeed capable of putting a good-sized hole in the enemy.

For the record, I didn't wear that exactly. Since we were bound for Vegas, I thought something more flashy was in order.
