Yes, actually, if you look at the fact that the navy is deploying 7 (summer pulse), which are:
USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) - Pacific Ocean
USS Enterprise (CVN 65) - Atlantic Ocean
USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) - Atlantic Ocean
USS George Washington (CVN 73) - Arabian Gulf
USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) - Pacific Ocean
USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) - Atlantic Ocean
USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) - South Atlantic Ocean

AND, that another two, the Vinson and Lincoln are also deployed, as per the Navy website, this gets more than a little bizarre.
USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) - port visit, San Diego, Calif.
USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) - port visit, San Diego, Calif.
That is 9 carriers deployed to sea. This is strange.
