LOL. His European schedule is mighty tight. He'll be in Italy 2 nights, the press will be too busy covering his meetings with Berlussconi and the Pope to waste time on some loose lipped CIA clerk. After Italy the press will be busy trying to crank up the tension between the President and Chirac when he overnights in Paris before he goes to Normandy for the D-Day ceremony. After that ceremony the President and First Lady leave for Sea Island Georgia to host the G8 Summit. Its a whirlwind trip to Europe, about 72 hours or so.
My comments are based on the actual state of the public record.
I haven't read anything about a "statement"
Just a confirmation that the President consulted an outside attorney
The mental gymnastics are simply remarkable!
Related to that, they've been going after the Cheney/Libby Energy Task Force that included consul from - *gulp* - private sector energy industry executives from day one as well.
If you knew what cyncooper knows on this subject, you would not make these statements.
And why was Novak the only one that bit??
Yes, I am.
I'm not.
So I see.
I think one can learn who has earned their trust and who has not. The Bush/Cheney team has earned our trust and they certainly should not be compared to Nixon.
Time again the devious nature of the spin the liberal press puts out gets exposed as trumped up and false, yet time and again the spin gets greeted with howls of dismay--not that the press is up to their usual antics--but that there might be truth to some sinister implication laden within the story.
Poppycock.
You stalker you :0)
Good catch .. and good question
And Josh Marshall is an unimpeachable source, right?
I agree. The prison scandal sure has fizzled since last week. The media keeps putting up their speculative "news" "reports", but like those little tin ducks that pop-up in a carnival shooting gallery, President Bush just keeps knockin' 'em down.
I noticed in the Congressional record today that the links between Saddam and Osama bin Laden were mentioned in the House of Reps.
Also, it was read into the record that Clinton said in the late 90's that Osama agreed not to attack Iraq in exchange for WMD training. Amazing that the left has forgotten that tidbit.
Any pull you have, make sure that the administration knows how important it is for the linkages to be made between Saddam and OBL. Support for the war will increase tenfold.
Novak is an Arab and someone on another thread said he was a registered Democrat.
That he is used as a representative from the right on CNN is a joke.
That sounds as good as any answer I can think of, lol. Of course, ABC leads off the hour with this story but even by their reporting you can tell there's not much to it. Expect the media to make hay about it but that's all.
Novak is a greedy little troll. The *ONLY* thing he cares about is paying less taxes. He doesn't give a fart about ANYTHING else.
LOL your words give me the image of you supplying comfy pillows to the weak-kneed
What happened last time was that the American media was so in an uproar over their new "scandal" when President Bush went to Africa that they barely covered his trip on American TV. That was my point. No matter what, the media is going to try to take him down from now until the election - there will be some lying October surprise, too - I just hope we have one of our own ready to go - there's certainly plenty to choose from. Have a nice night - think I'll go watch a movie!
