Popular to contrary belief, Franken does make his living as a comedian. He is a Harvard graduate, so he can make a joke and spend half an hour explaining what makes it funny. He just can't make you laugh, but that's irrelevant to him and the doofuses who gave him five Emmys for his comedy writing.
