SAN ANTONIO -- Two stolen propane trucks stolen from San Antonio and a subject of an FBI alert were found Wednesday, according to a TV station report.
FBI Agent-In-Charge Patrick Patterson confirmed to KSAT-TV in San Antonio that the trucks were found in a warehouse in Laredo, Texas.
The FBI issued an alert earlier Tuesday for two propane trucks and 15 gas canisters that were stolen over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

Thank God they found them..
Great post. Stolen and about to be delivered to Mexico for use there.
Where did you hear the trucks were headed for Mexico?
Good news. Kind of reminds me of a "Weekly World News" paper that my friend showed to me. The headline read, "Bigfoot Recaptured." My friend said, "I didn't even know he was loose!"
I'm a lifelong Texan. Vehicles are routinely stolen, particularly from San Antonio and south Texas, taken to a border town, repainted, sometimes given new plates and driven over the border to a waiting customer. Many, many 4x4s are given to the Mexican police. Years ago I had a client who had his truck stolen in El Paso. It showed up a few days later in the parking lot of the Mexican police station, being driven by one of the officers. The "mordida", bribes, to even begin to get the vehicle back was more than it was worth. Been that way since God was a Lance Corporal.
Hahahaha! Now I have to believe you.
I suspect your theory is correct, but I just couldn't find it in the story and thought you had heard it elsewhere. Now, .....about that fuel tanker in New Jersey?
the trucks were found in a warehouse in Laredo, Texas.
And the warehouse blongs to?????????????????????
This was weird. Terrorist, or someone tired of paying high fuel prices?
Earth to commercial vehicle thieves: "Steer clear of tanker trucks until further notice. Feebies will not let you keep them long enough to fence them. Steal something else."
Hey!!!! The report says they don't know if the propane is still in the tanks or not.
Easy come, easy go?
The trucks were found on Highway 359 two miles east of Laredo. There's still no word whether the trucks were still carrying the explosive fuel when they were found. [No mention of warehouse]
FBI spokesman Rene Salinas said the market for propane in Mexico is strong and that the thieves could have been filling an order, mirroring a similar theft about nine months ago.
Good question about the owner
Doesn't matter. Hard to drive the stuff into a building without a tanker.
Somebody looking to make a profit on stolen property, as is common in Mexico, the land of corruption and illegal aliens. Those are two imports we don't need.
Ah. That makes sense.
Trucks found 2 miles from Mexican border.
Heard that the propane was in the tanks just an hour ago. However, they still needed to verify it for sure.
