I had a conversation just yesterday with someone about that very topic. I wonder what Benjamin Franklin would say about a whole lot of things if he could once again be among us.
I guess the powers that be have taken the meaning of Philadelphia quite literally, and are attempting to mold the city to fit its name. God knows, the attitude of its residents ceased long ago to resemble the this country's traditional understanding of the name.

Wasn't it W. C. Fields, when hearing that first prize for a contest was a week's vacation in Philadelphia, wondered if the second prize was two weeks in Philadelphia?

I saw this ad run during a segment about it on Fox News. It is outright disgusting. The colonials would have had these two tarred and feathered, at the least.
