The question then becomes how many have to die before it becomes plainly apparent to everybody, including liberals in and out of government, 'cause 9/11 apparently wasn't enough of a b*tch-slap to wake everybody up.
So far as we know, we have yet to be hit on our own soil since 9/11. I say, "so far as we know", because I think several incidents both before and after 9/11 are very curious and could easily have been terrorist acts. I'm certain that we'll be hit again. The political center in the US will shift, you can bet on it.
