Hmmmm. Runway on the nose. 90 degree left turn, then a 270 degree right turn puts the runway directly behind you unless you start the maneuver right over the middle of the runway. He didn't mention that part. No wonder he's a C-130 pilot! There you have it! I guess he should have been listening to his nav's directions instead of checking out his package.

Nah.
90 degrees (relative) is right turn.
'Nother 270 degree turn (relative to the new course at right angles to the first course) completes the full circle.
(He wants to land on runway 33 = 330 degrees true. First 90 deg turn puts him on course 060 true.
Next 270 degree (relative) turn puts back on course 330 true.
