First thing that comes to mind is Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Children with this have no hunger control...in the sense that they always feel ravenously hungry. Early on, this comes as a relief, since for the first few months, they tend to have a very weak suckling reflex.

Until the 1980s, almost none of the children with this lived through their pre-teens much less through their delayed puberty.
