IN how many ordinary murders do the killers start shouting "allah akbar"? In religious ceremonies you would tend to say something about your god being powerful or whatever they mean by allah akbar -- doesn't it correlate somewhat with "praise the lord"? It looks like the beheadings are religious sacrifices to allah akbar.
I don't really question Bush's motives for calling it a religion of peace, he knows better but there are those wavering muslims who might be convinced not to join against us in this jihad if he tells them that. He can't reach the ones who are listening to the mullahs but not all go to mosques.
It really doesn't matter. It's murder by maniacs....the chanting is good theater. It's meant to frighten you.
But are they really maniacs? What we usually mean by maniacs is people with some kind of schizophrenia or psychotic mental status --- people who hear voices. Group killers are usually more deliberate which these killers are --- it might be some kind of group psychosis I suppose --- but as individuals they are probably sane enough.

BTW - you might want to think about the fact that muslims in this country (for the most part), fit right into the conservative demographics of the right wing.....they're hardworking, conservative, family minded, god-fearing,......
