You may call yourself an engineer, in the same way garbagemen call themselves sanitation engineers, but a 2 year A.S. degree in CAD drafting is not an 'engineering degree'.
You have 15 years as a machine mechanic, which looks like your strong suite. What kind of machines do you work on? What can you fix? At any rate, you'll probably need to move. I have.

An AS with 5 CADlanguages and 6 years experience as a designer/Draftsman, 3 years as a Project Engineer...makes me more of an engineer than a lot of BS 20-somethings that are getting hired, dont ya think?
Besides, too many people actually think they can go back and workl as a mechanic after they work as an engineer...all I keep hearing is YOULL LEAVE ONCE THE ECONOMY PICKS UP!
