Check this one, $11 an hour?? http://www.agentry.com/JobDetail.asp?Job_Number=11045

$11/hr to start for a simple assembly job? That's pretty good. I've seen many assembly jobs starting out around $7 or $8. Someone fresh off the banana boat can do assembly.

Not around here.

What most people here forget, when the average wage is HIGH, so is the price of living, th rents, the car prices, the gas, food

Well, wages have dropped, but NOTHING ELSE has dropped!

What $11 an hour got me in 1986 the last time I made it 18 YEARS AGO will not even get me close to the standard of living I grew into! And I am not even a homeowner! I rent becaue I havent got the money to buy a house!

Some of you people must have never tried to recover after a series of layoffs, and I have been in this for years.

And so have many of us up here, but we stayed because it was the CONSERVATIVE thing to do: To constantly retrain! To stick it out! To not run like women when problems occur!

Yet all of you just throw out mantras like
MOVE
START A BUSINESS (that one is so insulting, I have no money for rent yet I am supposed to start a business??)

I am also sick of explaining to morons liek you, that when I apply to those jobs, they dont hire me because I have a degree!

They all repeat THEIR mantra that I will leave when the economy pics up...sort of the insanity I hear on these threads by those who arent outsourced yet...
