got it...........
Excellent explanation, thank you for waylaying my doubts. This was the first thing I'd heard this morning and it had saddened me.
The WH has a Webcast now??
Hmmmm ... Smart idea
6 are women.
UN Desperately supported Saddam. That should make many 'rakies leery.
Where's the plan??? where's the plan, where's the plan, where's the plan.
Here it is!!
Most likely the media will promote only those who do not praise us and ignore the positive comments.
If there was a truly free election in Iraq betwwen Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, and some hand-picked U.S. candidate....I would pick our guy to finish a very distant third. Hence, nobody is gonna appear to be too cozy with us.
What happens in Iraq over the next five years will depend on the back room deals we are making with the mullahs and other "leaders". We won't know the details, but Arabs can be quite pragmatic behind closed doors. Just don't expect a "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" kind of reformer. Any hope for stability depends on a "strong horse" type of persona who can keep the rest in line.
C-span1 has got this too.
I'm watching Fox, but ABC, CBS, and NBC have it on too!
I was pleased to hear Iraq's minister of security (I think that was his position) repeatedly express what seemed to me like sincere appreciation and gratitude to America and the President and the troops when he was interviewed by Neil Boortz this morning. I don't recall him saying anything about the UN.
your#50 is right on target
We know better!
Their culture will not allow them to 'be like us', but I can only pray they will build some kind of democracy over there.
The President looks strong today. Speaking very forcefully. Good stuff. The rise of a free and self-governing Iraq will no longer be a haven for terrorists etc. etc.
Taking questions.
Yeah, he's smooth today.......Oooooh Questions!
Cue the vultures.
