They're these pint-size big plastic bottles that are supposed to keep it cooler longer. It seems to work well, and tastes more like regular bottled beer than canned stuff.

Is it the flavanoids it has, that is good for me?

I think I have read lately that beer consumption is actually going down steadily.
I'm doing my part to keep sales and consumption steady.

LOL.
I hope the Welsh get re-supplied with beer ASAP.

I haven't drank Miller Lite out of a plastic bottle yet.
I might try it this weekend.

My normal routine at my favorite watering hole is to first have one bottle of Budweiser, followed by one or two draft Sam Adams Lager.

It always seems that whenever folks mention beer here on the internet, Homer Simpson is mentioned in the discussion sooner or later.
Maybe we should make that a discussion rule, like Godwin's Law . . . first person to mention Homer on a beer thread gets a free beer, or something.

I've had the Amber Bock, but I haven't seen it in ages.
I'm one of those weird women who really doesn't like to shop, and generally avoids malls if at all possible. there used to be a neat bar in the mall years ago and I would drive my friends nuts if we were ging shopping......I'd sit in the bar while they shopped!!!!

That sounds like a good idea.

97 forecast for today in sunny Houston - y'all c'mon down and I'll treat everyone to a
kick-ass hometown brew.

I am a big fan of Sam Adams beer.

Texas has a ton of great microbrews, and mid levels like Shiner. Although regular Shiner isn't my favorite, the Blonde and Lights are quite good.

You can buy a 6 pack of Amber Bock in bottles at any large super-market.
It costs about 5 dollars.

My sister drank all the near-beers while she was pregnant, and she claims O'Douls is the most palatable. I pointed her in the direction of Michelob Ultra, which I maintain is half beer and half water, but she had some complaint about taste or something. What a beer snob. ;)

Shiner Bock is a good beer.
Do they still make Pearl Beer in Austin?
To: ForeverPure
I have never had sake. Is it strong?
When I was in Japan I developed a taste for Saki. Like beer in Europe, every area has its own Saki. The taste ranges from that of gasoline through tequila to a fine wine. I drank it in the traditional style - from small shot-sized porcelain cups. It didnt seem to take much to get well wasted.

I think LaTrobe, who makes Rolling Rock, has a real good low-carb beer out now.
To: R. Scott
I will have to try it.
Is the hang-over bad?
