Now you've moved out into being a crusader.
I haven't heard a single person come up with so shallow a perspective as the "this is how it's done, and we ain't changing" nonsense you dropped out there.
There saying as it stand right now, the points you are making do not matter or are simply ignorant of the suborbital platform reality.
You walk right by an individual pointing out the Research & developmental changes/cost required to create the kind of platform you are proposing but when those same Research/developmental changes mean cost overruns or a simply more expensive aircraft [ala F-22], you are quick to point it out.
You cannot have it both ways.
The reality is that Rhutan's bird only hints at a concept you've proposed. No offense but 10 year old little boys were imagining the same concept 30 years ago. What separates the Men from the boys is actually bringing it to fruition. It would appear that your concept of a [relatively] cheap suborbital platform that can deliver precision ordinance on targets both air or land is simply not a possibility right now.
It occurs to me that is what is being said to you.
You've made your point concept wise but you cannot make your point when it comes to the actual R&D, Powerplant, controls, radar systems, avionics, technology and money required to field a platform like the one you discuss. It would appear that you have significant R&D/software/hardware hurdles to overcome before continuing to passionately defend your position.
I appreciate your initial point and the seemingly obvious upside to having a fast suborbital weapons system...I don't appreciate your inability to drill down into the details.
All sizzle and no steak?

Re #193
I think this conversation is effectively over. Nothing more to say about it. Thanks.
