"No F-117 would ever return from that mission.'

No, I disagree.

The Koreans simply dont have the training to react in time to such a strike. If we'd actually try and strike NK then we'd have F111 jamming everything they had anyway...what they turned on would be hit by weasils...the best they'd do is blind fire and then try & scramble something to give chase...hounds to the hunters.

The ChiKors couldnt drop it [them]. Maybe if they knew the planned route & waypoints [they wouldnt]. As to egress we'd already have Eagles waiting for it to DEDE out of the AO.

NK can put up such a thick wall of flak, the F-117 driver could get out and walk on all the lead flying at him. He could get there, but he could not get home.

F-22 is a go...FY revision as per numbers can change year to year as the program rolls allong.
F-22 only has a few bug to work out.

The U.S. Navy will be the Tip of the Sword.

A big concern is the numeric balance of Dedicated *Jammer aircraft.
At some quality air industry chat sites...the comment that Grumman has shut the EA6 line down..disbanded their design teams.

Others comment..that if pressed..Grumman could tool up and produce EA-6C..and do so for less than the cost of a EF-18G.

Certainly Super Hornet is an interiem solution...the Navy will have to max this Birds capability now..its all they have to work with....unless EA-6C is being given a relook.

Israels new Python 5 full sphere missile is very good..the same for U.S. AIM 9x

Raytheon with ERAAM[ERAAM would be an AMRAAM with larger dual pulse motor and smaller tail fins and upgraded guidance (2005)], and FRAAM[FMRAAM would give it a rocket ramjet motor (2007) ] .
Link here;
ERAAM-FRAAM

There's alot of great things happening with *Scramjet munni Technology.

"we'd have F111 jamming everything they had anyway"

The EF-111A was retired from USAF service in 1998! The US has no more F-111s in service. The only nation to continue operating them is Australia. Australia does not operate the EF-111.
