Did you get your RV from the lawsuit already?
Let's Roll!!!!
Outtasite bump.
The Robinsons arrived just minutes before the police closed the intersection completely for the parade. It seems Jim threw a tire on his chair as they were leaving to meet us (for want of a shoe the war was lost? almost). A few sets of hands were able to stretch, hold, and pull the tire back onto the rim of the errant wheel. Crisis averted and together at last, FReepers were pumped up and ready to cheer our Veterans and Troops as the parade marched past us.
And march past they did: Airborne, Navy, Marines, Air Force and the Coast Guard; Tuskegee Airman, a Doolittle Raider, WW II Airwomen pilots, Vietnam jungle troopers, graying Korean War vets in crisp battle dress uniforms, former POWs, Desert Storm and Shield troops and every rank and rating known to the Armed Services of the United States of America. The Best of Us passed in review and received the thanks of their nation, and then we remembered.
We remembered those who have passed into history. The Doolittle raiders who did not make the Chinese coast, the men of the Frozen Chosen whos last thought was of a home across the world, the Finest Generation lost at Pearl Harbor Anzio the Islands of the Pacific Omaha Beach, Tet and Hamburger Hill; yes we remembered them all today. Sure in the certain knowledge that America will always give of her best when the call comes, we remembered. Just as we are building memories with our newest heroes who are presently serving, carrying forward the gift of freedom secured by earlier great men and women. We remembered, and we thank them all.
Although it was obvious the FReepers in Colorado previously tried to drown the honored trio, we merely tried to fry them in the radiant, noon sunshine with breezes and temperature made to order. After the parade and a gathering at the courthouse we met at a local restaurant. All had a marvelous time visiting. Many of us were meeting each other for the first time. Thank you JR for this forum that brings us together and gives us a voice.
St. Louis FReepers, take care of our guests. Since weve already employed dunking and roasting, you will need a new booby-trap to be original. Seriously, we send our love and prayers. You will have a wonderful time, as we did!
And, dont forget the flowers! Sheila adores flowers!
Those FReepers in attendance to meet with JimRob & Co. and to remember: Prov3456, Bogeyman, GulfWar1Vet, DogRobber, Bluesagewoman, Zip, Mrs. Zip, Little SunnySide, BOBWADE, Jim Robinson, Sheila, Chris, Controlling Legal Authority, E. Pluribus Unum, The Snowflake, Just Another Joe, and 3 other non-FReepers: Tom, The Harmonica Man, and Ruth. In fellowship together, we remembered.

Ping guys! Bahbah, ping St. L.
Stars and Stripes Bump!
We had a great time in Columbia! Really enjoyed the Memorial Day Parade and the Ceremony at the Courthouse. Seeing all those old (and not so old) veterans and active duty personnel marching by and hearing all the marching bands had me choked up. Nearly lost it when they played Taps for those who sacrificed all. And we loved the dinner too! Was wonderful meeting our Columbia Patriots. All in all, was a great day for us. Thank you all very much.
As a graduate of MU I'm happy to see him there.....
PING!
Howdy St Louis area FReepers. We're booked at the Forest Park/Hampton Ave Holiday Inn tomorrow night. Hoping we can get together for dinner.
Jim
Fantastic!
It was an honor to stand with the Robinsons and the rest of our MidMO FReepers today and it was really nice to be there without the useful idiots across the street.
Jim, Sheila and Chris - THANK YOU FOR COMING AND JOINING OUR CELEBRATION. It meant a lot to all of us.
And last but definately not least, THANK YOU MILITARY PERSONNEL, PAST AND PRESENT, AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR STANDING UP FOR AMERICA. YOU ARE ADMIRED, RESPECTED AND LOVED BY ALL REAL AMERICANS.
Cancel BOL for Jim Robinson...he's alive and well in Missouri.
If he's heading East, we need to know his favorite meal so we can prepare!
Thanks Jim, for paying a visit to Middle Missouri...
Thanks for the report. Sounds like a great time. Really wish I could have made the trip but unfortunately my van decided it wasn't going anywhere much less Columbia.
Taps chokes me up everytime I hear it. It just sounds so lonely.
