we lost the war ... in the 90's here in California.

I'm afraid I agree.

The stark reality is that the development of California's limited natural resources can't match their population explosion hence the apparent dichotomy within the ranks of the Sierra Club.

As I've said before, land use planning (gentrification), housing code enforcement and the mechanization of agriculture in conjunction with their prolific reproductive rates will eventually disperse these poorly assimilated, alien masses to other states.

What provides no comfort however is that Bush is cooperating and apparently will continue cooperating with Fox to the detriment of our sovereignty. The topper is that Fox has engineered a win-win scheme to preserve the control of the twelve ruling families in Mexico while assuring that his impoverished and restless will not be available to cause trouble for the oligarchy.

I suspect that history may well treat our 43rd president very uncharitably. The war on terror will be noted but the potential damage he can to do to our nation if he keeps inviting and encouraging massive, unregulated immigration may cause the Iraq conflict to pale in comparison 100 years from now.

Reagan made a similar error in 1986, which led to the war of the reconquista in the 90's and Davis' subsequent green light to the Mexican government on April 16, 1999, but the problem in 1986 was small enough, relative to today's numbers, that Reagan got away with it and it was months before the state realized the gravity of Davis' decision. Simply too late to punish Davis ... on that issue.

Bush will not be so lucky if he maintains his present tact in the face of the literal wall of Mexicans "headed north" since his January 7 invitation and pep rally.

History will treat Bush much better than even most of his supporters think.

There are things that happen that immortalize certain Presidents. Events, and not just the character of the man make a great President.

History has more twists and turns for us before we see the end of this story.

Take care,
Patty
