I have a daughter too. I would not want her drafted. I have two sons and I know that my daughter is not as strong or as fast as her brothers. If women could compete on equal standing with men why don't they play side by side on the basketball courts and football fields?

Women are not inferior...we are different.

It is ridiculous to think that a 145lb woman can carry my husband out of a burning building or fight in hand to hand combat with the enemy. For political correctness we are ending up with women in dangerous places putting the lives of others on the line.

True.

However your daughter COULD be a paramedic, could operate the radio, could drive the fire-truck.

I am NOT NOT NOT saying women should do each and everything a man does.

I am saying that there are places where women could excel without lowering standards in many many fields.

There needs to be a balance. To say "No women, in any traditionally male role EVER" is simply insane and unrealistic.

Perhaps it is. However, let's be clear, A male, United States Marine, may be 4'10" tall and weigh a scant 96 pounds. How much easier do you think it will be for that marine than a 145 pound woman?

A female Marine by comparison must also stand at least 4'10" tall, but she may weigh as little as 90 pounds.
