You have been fed from the Bread of Life.

"Listen! All those here will be tested. Do not believe for a minute that your fate lies within you. Rather, it lies in the hands of a loving and just God - the very God who shall give us a chance to right the wrongs we ourselves have inflicted upon others and Him."

You are correct in saying that we all will be tested. You are not correct in saying that everybody will be given a chance to "right the wrongs" we have done.

God does not relieve us of the consequences of our sin no matter how we may wish it. God offers us repentance and an Intercessor and a way to wash our sins away and make us Christlike.

Really? Even in the OT G-d says so far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us. It says he crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion and mercy. So high are the heavens are from the earth is how great His love for us. It says He does not reward us according to our sins. And that's in the Old Testament.

This Arab Christian may have faced more being a Christian in that country than any will ever face in their entire lifetime. That's picking up his cross right there.

Your life must really be hell since you are paying for every one of your sins here on earth. Man! I thought that was the purpose of the Ultimate Sacrifice. You now receive Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness, and are now sons and daughters. Would you forgive your children if they lied about you to save their lives? I think G-d is a much greater Father than we are.

Ah, but repentance IS a chance to right the wrongs we have done - it is one of the actions Christians must take in order to be forgiven of their sins. Jesus himself tells us so...

Matthew 4, verse 17:

17 'From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

And being required to repent, we are all given the chance to repent - Peter himself tells us that.

2 Peter, Chapter 3, verse 9:

"The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

We are all given the chance to right the wrongs we have done - we are all given the chance to repent. The Bible tells us so, and therefore, if you believe the Bible is the inspired or literal word of God, then it must be true...

We are all given the chance to right the wrongs we have done - to repent and be forgiven. So it shall be with this man.

I think it important to clarify something here. The consequence of sin plays itself out in one way - death. While there are certainly temporal ramifications upon our life the penalty for sin is no less than death. God most certainly relieved us of the consequence (the true penalty of sin) by offering his own son upon the cross in our place.

Fundamental rule in reading scripture: every verse modifies the entirety of scripture and the entirety of scripture modifies every verse.

This man was tested at a point and failed but God never fails.
